The New Orleans Society for Infectious Disease Awareness has announced their lineup for the Third Annual HIV Awareness Music Project (HAMP). This year it takes place on December 2nd at One Eyed Jacks, will feature a host of remarkable local artists including: Quintron and Miss Pussycat, Vockah Redu, and Meschiya Lake and her Lil' Big Horns.
Apple Barrel regular and bluesman about town, Coco Robicheaux, passed on the Friday after Thanksgiving, on Frenchmen St., where he was a beloved regular musician and friend. Two jazz funerals/second lines are currently planned to honor Mr. Robicheaux.
