The celebration and membership drive features Bamboula 2000, Zion Trinity-Spirit of the Orishas, Mardi Gras Indian Hall of Fame featuring Flag Boy Slim, Ben Hunter, Reverend Dwight Webster - Pastor, Christian Unity Baptist Church, Avalanche JA Self Defense and Combat School, N'Kafu Traditional African Dance Company and the Congo Square Drum & Dance Circle. The event on Sunday, August 10th at Congo Square event also kicks-off the Mardi Gras Indian Hall of Fame Week. This event is free and open to the public.
