"See 'Em On Stage: A Production Company" is excited to present the New Orleans premiere of Evil Dead: The Musical. This satiric musical comedy will run October 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 31 at 8:00 p.m. at The Shadowbox Theatre, located at 2400 St. Claude Avenue, New Orleans, LA, 70117.
This “disarmingly” hilarious stage musical combines all of the elements of the cult classic horror films: The Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness, to make one of the craziest, unique theatrical experiences of all time.
Evil Dead: The Musical tells the story of five college students who go to an abandoned, secluded cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It's up to Ash (a housewares-employee turned demon killer) and his trusty chainsaw to save the day. Blood flies, limbs are dismembered and demons tell bad jokes ... all while singing and dancing!
Tonight, Parker pays homage to the great jazz trumpeter, Booker Little. Little had a memorable melancholy sound, featuring crisp articulation, and his interval jumps looked toward the avant-garde, but he also swung like a hard bopper, until his death at age 23. Little’s talent was such that, in a career that spanned just over three years, he recorded four albums of his own and participated in numerous other recordings with such jazz luminaries as Max Roach, John Coltrane, and Eric Dolphy. “Tonight is about the adventure through his music, rather than a tribute.”- Ashlin Parker
Ecos Latinos Presents German Trumpeter/composer, Klaus “Fats” Lumma, in concert with Louisiana musicians: harpist, Patrice Fisher, percussionists, Carlos Valladares, pianist, Fran Comiskey guitarists, Javier Olondo &Alexis Guevara & bassist, Edwin Gonzalez.
