In response to a dearth of modern jazz offerings in the local live music scene, WWOZ and Prime Example present a newly revived concert series, one that allows patrons to enjoy and "swing" to living legends of modern New Orleans jazz in an intimate, neighborhood lounge setting.

When: Every Thursday night, two shows at 8:00 and 10:00 p.m.
Admission is $15. (WWOZ members receive special discounted $10 admission with their membership card.)
Just in time for Jazz Fest, the DUKES of Dixieland are releasing a new CD/DVD Celebrating Satchmo on Thursday, April 25.
Celebrating Satchmo is a tribute Louis Armstrong and features new renditions of favorites such as Mack the Knife and What a Wonderful World. The DUKES will be holding a CD release party on Thursday, April 25 from 4 - 4:45 PM at the Louisiana Music Factory (210 Decatur Street).

Join the Friends of the Cabildo and the New Orleans Film Society as the Louisiana State Museum’s collection of seven different 16mm film reels from the first Jazz Fest will be shown at the Old U.S. Mint 3rd Floor Performance Space Thursday April 25th at 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Dr. Charles Chamberlain, will moderate the event as well as the Band-In-A-Pocket Jazz Trio will be performing in sections that do not have sound.
