CASA New Orleans (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is an agency which advocates on behalf of children (birth to 18+) who have been judged victims of abuse and/or neglect. In honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month in April, CASA New Orleans is hosting an event at the Howlin' Wolf to promote child abuse awareness. "Rock the CASA" is Thursday April 18th; doors open at 8PM, show starts at 9PM.
The show features:

All proceeds go to CASA New Orleans, a nonprofit that provides trained community volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in court. Their goal is to ensure that every child has a safe, permanent home.
In response to a dearth of modern jazz offerings in the local live music scene, WWOZ and Prime Example present a newly revived concert series, one that allows patrons to enjoy and "swing" to living legends of modern New Orleans jazz in an intimate, neighborhood lounge setting.

When: Every Thursday night, two shows at 7:00 and 9:00 p.m.
