Hickory Dickory Rock, Family Service of Greater New Orleans’ third annual fundraising event, will give thousands of New Orleans children an opportunity to enjoy an evening of unbridled family fun, 6:00 p.m. — 10:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6, in New Orleans City Park’s Storyland and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park. Attendees can board an unlimited number of rides in the safe environment of the amusement park for a substantially reduced $10 per person admission price.

Dillard University will host its first annual International Arts and Music Festival on the university’s front lawn from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on April 6. The festival will feature global entertainment, art, and cuisine. It is free and open to the public.
Latin jazz band Vivaz, African stilt dancers the Zulu Connection, and Louisiana’s own Rockin’ Dopsie Jr. are just some of the festival’s featured performers, while vendors will serve Vietnamese cuisine, Brazilian street food, and much more. A fashion show will spotlight international styles, and artisans will display arts and crafts of the world.
Megan Mullally, the two-time Emmy-winning star of TV's Will and Grace (Karen Walker) and star of Broadway's Young Frankenstein, performs two shows only on April 6th at 7:30 and 9:30 as part of Mark Cortale's BROADWAY AT NOCCA series.
Both performances will take place in NOCCA's Lupin Hall (2800 Chartres Street, New Orleans), with Sirius XM Radio star Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host. There will be a special VIP ticket price ($150) for the 9:30 show which will include a meet-and-greet reception with both Megan and Seth directly following the performance. A portion of each ticket will directly benefit The NOCCA Institute.
Undergraduates in Popular Music Performance from the University of Kent (England) perform New Orleans repertoire including Dr. John, The Meters, Galactic, Irma Thomas, Trombone Shorty and Jon Cleary. This concert, which is part of their program, culminates these talented students' yearlong study of New Orleans' history and musical culture.
