Livewire Music Event Calendar

Fresh off the success of their year-long effort to perform in the 2013 Tournament of Roses Parade New Year’s Day in Pasadena, Calif., the Roots of Music will receive a welcome-home party Friday, Jan. 11, in the form of “Lunar Lagniappe: A Krewe de Lune Benefit for the Roots of Music.” 

The “Lunar Lagniappe” benefit, held at the Other Bar on Freret Street, will feature free beer, a performance by the Star-Steppin’ Cosmonaughties dance team, live music by Stephanie Nilles, a raffle with prizes from Domino’s Pizza and more, and food from Frencheeze Food Truck. The event is being sponsored by Krewe de Lune, Other Bar, and Offbeat Magazine. All money at the door goes to the Roots of Music.
