The 2012 Oak Street Po-Boy Festival is happening this Sunday on... Oak Street! There will be two stages of live music, over 30 po-boy vendors (come hungry, and be prepared to roll on out of there), panel discussions on the history of the po-boy (ruminate on po-boys in stomach and mind) and a Kid's World for the kiddos to run rampant in. Catch the Yat Pack on Sundays from 8:30-midnight at The Max in Metairie near the Clearview exit. The Yat Pack is a New Orleans-based band that brings back the Swing Era with a Vegas flair - the classic Big Band sounds of Sinatra & Bobby Darin to contemporary artists like Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr.
