The 2012 Voodoo Music Experience happens October 26 - 28, currently featuring a lineup that includes Metallica, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Jack White, the Avett Brothers, Skrillex, Justice, Tomahawk, Dave Stewart, Say Anything, Bootsy Collins, Gary Clark Jr., the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and dozens more.
On the WWOZ/Bud Light Stage, local and international acts, including Anders Osborne, Soul Rebels, Marcia Ball, Toots and the Maytals.
Repeats every week until Sun Dec 30 2012 except Sun Dec 23 2012.
Catch the Yat Pack on Sundays from 8:30-midnight at The Max in Metairie near the Clearview exit. The Yat Pack is a New Orleans-based band that brings back the Swing Era with a Vegas flair - the classic Big Band sounds of Sinatra & Bobby Darin to contemporary artists like Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr.
Start: Armstrong Park. Proceed down N. Rampart (Pause) Common St. continues up S. Rampart. Continue down to Oretha Castle Haley Blvd.
Stop: (DUMAINE GANG) Ashe Cultural Arts Center 1712 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. Proceed down Oretha Haley Blvd, right on Felicity St. Continue down Felicity to Simon Bolivar, left onto Simon Bolivar continue down Simon Bolivar to Lasalle.
Stop: (Family Ties) Washington & Lasalle up LaSalle to Louisiana Ave left on Louisiana Ave continue to Liberty St., right turn on Liberty St., continue to Foucher St,. left turn on Foucher St.
Stop: The Other Place 3601 Foucher St. Proceeding up Saratoga St. right on Louisiana Ave. Proceed up Louisiana Ave.
Disband: "LEROUX" 1700 Louisiana Ave.
