Native American, a member of the Houma Nation...I have been a working musician since I was in high school.I also play mandolin,dobro,lap steel,and also harmonica and piano...My vocal and song writing influences include The Moody Blues,Cat Stevens,The Beatles...As a guitarist,I was influenced by early on Eric Clapton & Roy Buchanan,and later on by Eric Johnson and Steve Morse...I have performed with groups as varied bluegrass,country,R&B,hard rock,top 40,oldies show bands,folk groups,etc... I learned my chops with working groups like Eddie Powers,& the show group Lady and the Tramps...when country became big,I played with regional recording stars Bobbie Cupid and the the Crowe Brothers...I then spent several years on Bourbon St.,at the old Opera House...Later I joined such rock and cover groups as After the Fact,Remember When,Mainstreet,and moved to Florida to play with the Ken Michaels Band...lately I have recorded CD's & played with country acts Scott Steele,Fred Bennett...acoustic groups Strings Attached,Decades,and Gene Lipps...Rock band Space Trumpet,Native American Funk Rock Jam bands Kostini,& GrayHawk...I have jammed with & or recorded with greats such as Dr. John,song writer Greg Barnhill{spirit of N.O."Walk Away Joe"}N.O. R&B greats Johnny Adams,Tommy Ridgley,Bluesman John Mooney,as well as Brian May {Queen}and Steve Morse{Kansas,Dregs}....As an Acoustic sololist,I like to keep it real,raising and lowering my vocals,and adding my own touch to the song,not just mimicking old hits....Performances vary from multiple appearances on Abita Opry to concerts for Alabama,Hank Jr.,John Anderson etc, to Bourbon St.clubs and Jazz Fest....
