The Concoction ATL Heads To New Orleans For The Gumbo Edition
NOLA – (July 09, 2014) The Concoction ATL is one of the most anticipated events in Atlanta, and has built up enough steam to hit the road! On August 09, 2014 at 10:00 p.m., The Concoction ATL will be adding Gumbo to its ingredients! As usual, the stage will be populated with the best poets, comedians, musicians and bands from cities far and near. Carolina’s King of Comedy and recent Bounce TV feature, Comedian O.D. Odell, will host the night. New Orleans’ own all female brass band, The Original Pinettes, will be providing the sounds of the Bayou! They will also be playing behind Tank, Soul Singer extraordinaire hailing from New Orleans, as well. Hero 44, an extremely talented Who Dat Poet and nationally acclaimed artist will be blessing the mic with signature pieces. Tess, Mobile, Alabama’s finest will be there delivering her powerful brand of poetry! Andra Kellon will be there all the way from NC, and says he will catch the bus if he has to! R&B sensation Jon Boyd is riding with the Tank coming from Atlanta. Of course, Atlanta’s Big Brother and Co-Founder of this movement, The General Sparatic, will provide his authentic, Southern Bred Spoken Word! This, just a taste, of what the Gumbo Pot is cooking!
The event will begin with an Open Mic judged by the audience. The winner will receive a cash prize and be a featured artist at the next Concoction ATL event. Poet and Entrepreneur Sparatic the General will have copies of his newly released book for sale, “Prison, Prayer and Poetry.” Businessman and Co-Founder, Charlton Oni says, “I would like to thank everyone for supporting Fusion ATL and Oni Investments, LLC on The Concoction ATL. We are looking forward to continued success in providing quality entertainment to cities nationwide.” Fusion ATL and Oni Investments, LLC joined together as business partners to fill a void of entertainment mixture that was missing in Atlanta and nationwide. The partners are preparing for more inspiring projects that will continue to educate and entertain their following. Part of the proceeds raised from this show will be donated to http://www.atlsyouthfoundation.org/. This is a nonprofit organization headed by Annette Jones out of New Orleans, LA. They focus on empowering the youth and stopping youth violence.
The Concoction ATL will be held at Café Istanbul at 2372 St. Claude Ave, New Orleans, La. The entry fee is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. For more information, contact Charlton Oni (404) 944-1760 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
