PRAYERS
WWOZ sends healing prayers to everyone affected in the Mother's Day parade shooting including the victims, their families, everyone who was at the parade and the Original Big Seven Social Aid & Pleasure Club.

We are praying vigilantly for our colleague Deborah Cotton, cultural activist, writer and founder of www.neworleansgoodgood.com. Deborah was seriously wounded and has a lengthy recovery ahead of her.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
You can donate to help Deborah Cotton with her ongoing recovery costs.  You can also donate to the 19 Fund, set up bu the Tipitina's Foundation and the Gambit for the 19 victims.  Thank you to everyone who went out to the New Orleans Musician's Clinic's Blood Drive.

We will keep you informed of other fundraisers and events to help in the aftermath of the shooting.

WWOZ encourages everyone in New Orleans and around the world to continue to support our special New Orleans traditions, like second line parades, since they offer concrete positive alternatives to the culture of violence that is engulfing our community.
