Snug Harbor

Hi,
I'm going to be in New Orleans in October, and my friends and I would like to go to Snug Harbor one night for some dinner and music. I've never been in that area and I'm wondering what else there is to see and do in the Frenchmen's St. area. I know that probably sounds like a huge question, or rather a simple question with a huge answer, but I'd appreciate anything you could give me. Thanks and watch out for Gustav!

Frenchman Street

Is where we "locals" go for music. You know of Snug Harbor. The street is also home to Blue Nile, DbA, Cafe Nagril, Hooka Cafe, Spotted Cat, Apple Barrel, Lazzia, and all have wonderfull music each night....
