Does anyone know this song. The bridge to the song went something like this.

I'm standing here with tears in my eyes,
Begging you, please don't make me cry,
all (of) my friends they laugh and say,
Oh what a fool can you be.

Lee Diamond song

Hey Irish Channel Bobby,

The song you asked about is by New Orleans band leader Wilbur Smith; who also went by the name of Lee Diamond. He was a member of Little Richards' Upsetters. The song title is 'Please Don't Leave" which was released on Minit Records #617.
