How to Submit Your Event to the Livewire Music Calendar
Submit your club/gig listings to be included in the Livewire Music Calendar, on the web or on the air* by emailing your listings in the following format to events@wwoz.org:
Venue — Month:
Day @ Time / Performer(s) / Genre / Description
@ Time / Second Act / Genre / Description
For example:
Madison Square Garden — August:
2 @ 6:00 / Rod Stewart / rock / A performance in the round
@ 9:00 / George Michael / pop / Benefit for WWOZ
3 @ 8:00 / Radiohead / alternative
4 @ 9:00 / Ministry / industrial / From Chicago
. . . and so on
* All shows submitted will be listed on the website, but because of time limitations, the on-air announcement may not include all submissions.
Here is a short list of things to keep in mind:
- Events should be submitted at least one week ahead of time to be included in the on-air announcements.
- Description can be about the artist or the event, and should be less than 100 words.
- Flyer or photos submitted will be considered for inclusion in the website listing, but please keep attachments under 2 MB.
- If you are an artist submitting a gig, please make sure it is not already on our music calendar.
- When informing us about regular gigs, i.e. a gig that is performed on the same day every week, please do so once a month.
