Submitting Events to the Livewire Music Calendar

Submit your club/gig listings to be included in the Livewire Music Calendar on the web or on the air by emailing your listings in the following format to events@wwoz.org.

All shows will be listed on the online Livewire, but because of time
limitations, we must be extremely selective about what we read on-air.

For example:

Here is a short list of things to keep in mind:

• Events should be submitted at least four days ahead of time to be included in the on-air announcements.
• The Livewire is a live music calendar — we don't list stand-up comedy, movies, or events that don't have live music.
• You can include descriptions about the artist or the event, but keep it to less than 100 words or it will be truncated in our system.
• If you are an artist submitting a gig, please make sure it is not already on our music calendar.
• If you've got a regular gig, don't forget to remind us at least a few days before the end of each month, or you may get left off!
• We have extremely limited space on-air, and we get hundreds of listings each week. We have to be very selective about what we announce on the air. But we do plug the "expanded" listing on the web site.
