Goat in the Road is excited to announce its ninth annual Play/Write Showcase, where 11 student plays written by 5th & 6th graders from New Orleans schools are presented by six local performance groups. These companies’ adult performers will take the students’ words from the page to the stage, celebrating the work that all of the 300 students involved in the Play/Write program have done over the past year. This year’s Play/Write producers are Dancing Grounds, Dillard Players Guild, KM Dance Project, Intramural Theater, Southern Rep, and Nari Tomasetti. Participating schools are St. Mary’s Academy, Success Preparatory Academy, The International School of Louisiana, and Young Audiences Charter School.
