Pinter’s early works have been described as “comedies of menace” by British critic Irving Wardle. Over the years, Pinter has gained the reputation as one of the most provocative, groundbreaking British playwrights of his generation. With biting humor, the pieces explore the absurdity of everyday, the discomfort of otherness, the fleeting nature of memory, and the fragility of the self. In "Trouble in the Works", a factory floor manager has to tell his boss that the workers have “turned against” the products. In "Night", two lovers argue about the night they met. In "The Applicant", a physicist interviews for a job, but must first pass several tests of endurance. "A Slight Ache" is the story of Flora and Edward, an older couple who’ve lost the love in their life. When a mysterious matchseller shows up at their back gate, their provincial lives are thrown into disarray. About the company: This is The Delicate Feast’s inaugural production. Artistic Director, Adam Laten Willson, has been involved with New Orleans theater since 2011. For nine years, Willson has been an integral member of Aztec Economy, a Brooklyn-founded theater company. In 2011, Aztec Economy teamed up with MTB Productions to bring My Aim is True to the New Orleans Fringe. They returned subsequent years with Helpless Doorknobs (2012), and My Horse is Named Loneliness (2014). In the 2013 Fringe, Aztec Economy mounted a full production of Butcher Holler, Here We Come, an immersive play about 5 coal miners in West Virginia, 1973 - a popular favorite at that year's Fringe. In 2017, Willson performed in the Infringe productions, Pulp Shakespeare and Transposing Omaha. About the actors: Earl J.
