Come one, come all! Southern Rep Theatre is launching our first Community-Powered Event: ALL THE WAY! In order to make this production truly community-powered, we need everyone! Aspiring actors, community performers, future Oscar winners, and everything in between – whether it’s your first time on stage or you live and breathe theatre, this means you! Feeling shy? Don’t worry! Southern Rep is offering two FREE acting workshops and holding open-call community auditions. No experience is necessary! OPEN CALL AUDITIONS - ready to hit the stage? Saturday, March 3 1:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Kingsley House, 1600 Constance St. New Orleans, LA 70130 (free workshop at noon to prepare!) Sunday, March 4 2 – 4 p.m., Ashe Power House, 1731 Baronne St. New Orleans, LA 70113 We welcome all ages, ethnicities, body types, and experience levels. Workshop attendance not required to audition. (Roles available for ages 18 to 118.) Performances will run at Loyola University; rehearsals start April 2; performances May 16 – June 3. Community performers will receive a travel stipend; child care and refreshments will be provided at rehearsals.
