Art Klub presents SCAVENGERS, a satellite exhibit of Prospect New Orleans 4 featuring visual art, dance, theater, film, music and food experiences. At our opening reception on Saturday Nov 18th, you will meet all of our participating artists and learn how they are inspired by the concept of repurpose. Enjoy preview performances between 8pm-9pm by SCAVENGERS artists. At 9pm the urban-folk-soul-funk band LOVE EVOLUTION will get you dancing! Refreshments provided by Old New Orleans Rum and New Orleans Co-Op. The SCAVENGERS artists are united by a common interest in the value and life cycle of ordinary objects. Scavengers give new life to what is discarded. They hunt for materials and gather ideas from their surroundings. They reconnect us to our culture and landscape by reimagining the materials they reclaim for their art. The exhibition will be open for public viewing from November 18, 2017 - February 25, 2018. Gallery and viewing hours are Wednesdays from 11am-8pm, Thursdays-Sundays from 11am-4pm. Works will also be displayed on and around the exterior and will be lit and available for public viewing 24 hours a day.
