Lagniappe presents Jazz at the Rat:
Tulane's Lagniappe program furthers its mission of introducing students to New Orleans culture with "Jazz at the Rat," a series of concerts held in Der Rathskeller (a.k.a. "The Rat"), on the garden level of the Lavin-Bernick Center. Students and faculty from Tulane’s Jazz Studies program are often invited to play with these accomplished musicians.

Electric bassist Brian Quezergue’s introduction to music began as a child who accompanied his father, legendary composer and arranger Wardell Quezergue, at performances and recording sessions in New Orleans. Also an educator, Quezergue often performs locally with artists such as James Andrews, Stephanie Jordan, and the St. Peter Claver Catholic Church Choir. Featuring student musicians from Tulane's Jazz Studies program, and hosted by Jesse McBride. Jazz at the Rat is a concert series presented by the Lagniappe Series of Newcomb-Tulane College at Tulane University. Free and open to the public.
