The New Orleans Center for the Gulf South and Antenna invite you to join a conversation about race, revolution, art and the lived experience of history. The Art of Revolution brings together 1811 historian, Mr. Leon Waters and performance artist, Dread Scott. They will contextualize the biggest enslaved rebellion in U.S. history. Both will describe how the historic 1811 rebellion informs how we understand, embody, and resist the colonial past. Scott will discuss his newest performance art project, the Slavery Reenactment Rebellion.
