Upcoming Shows

Street Performers, come learn about your rights! The Music and Culture Coalition of New Orleans is hosting a FREE teach-in and discussion about the laws that apply to busking in New Orleans. The meeting will have two parts--first a discussion and Q&A session of the rights and responsibilities of street performers and law enforcement, which will include participation from a civil rights attorney, as well as representatives from several law enforcement agencies that patrol the areas where street performance occurs the most. This will be an open dialogue, not a panel. The second section will be a 'safe space' for performers to ask questions, express concerns, or discuss incidents without enforcement agencies present. While the focus is on street performers, everyone is welcome to attend. Complimentary Guides to New Orleans Street Performance will also be available.
