The home of the first three Prince Hall Masonic Lodges in Louisiana, Richmond, Parsons and Stringer *** 3. Recruited Free men of color as well as the enslaved for the Civil War *** 4. The former church home of America and Louisiana's first Black Governor P.B.S. Pinchback and Lt. Governor Dunn *** 5. The former home of Colonel James Lewis who would become New Orleans's First Black Police Chief *** 6. The former home of Albert Wicker who was the principal of the Bienville School, later. to be known as Albert Wicker Elementary School *** 7.
