Louisiana native, LSU law school graduate and author Renée Austell will launch her first book, the fast-paced thriller “Royal & St. Louis,” on July 15 at the Omni Royal Orleans hotel, which is situated at the corner of Royal & St. Louis streets in the French Quarter and one of many local landmarks featured in the book.
“Royal & St. Louis” takes readers from the streets of Paris to New York, Los Angeles and New Orleans, where Austell, whose family is from the Lafayette, La., area, lived as a child at Jackson Barracks.
Austell will be available for meet and greets beginning at 1:30 p.m. and a reception from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
For the book, Renée was asked by co-author Robin Gohsman to spearhead the female lead character and scenes taking place in New Orleans, South Louisiana and Paris. The book portrays the author's love for South Louisiana and has received excellent reviews on Amazon since its release.
