Join us at the Layaya Imaginarium Studio and learn about the exciting art and performance opportunities that will be available for young artists, writers and actors in our new expanded schedule! Applications for auditions will be available for several new actors and performers to be added to our performing arts departments and a full schedule of art classes will be released for beginner, intermediate and advanced artists in age groups ranging from 4 years old to college age students as well as a limited number of spaces in our Published Author – Creative Writing Department. We will take applications for a limited number of spaces in the following classes: "Lil Ya" visual arts classes (ages 4-7) Early Entry beginner & Intermediate classes (beginner to intermediate skill painting/ drawing and more ages 8-16) Intermediate Visual Arts – (Intermediate level artists ages 10-24) Advanced “ARTtrepreneur” Visual Arts – Visual Artists of all ages with a skill level to produce work to sell at various locations. This class includes visual arts sessions as well as instruction and mentoring in art business, designing and building your artist website, branding, marketing and pricing your work and more! Our Performing Arts department will take applications for actors for the theater/film session to begin in August! A limited number of spaces for each skill level and area of study will be available. Beginner, intermediate and advanced are encouraged to apply! Layaya Published Author Creative Writing Department – We will accept applications for up to 12 new writers who aspire to become nationally published authors. We are seeking dedicated writers age 12- 23 years old who wish to write and publish a novel, a collections of short stories, or a poetry collection. Writers should possess the maturity level to write weekly and stay engaged. The ability to create original works, a good understanding and practice of grammar and style as well as a strong dedication to submitting work on a weekly basis is required. A laptop or tablet is required for this class. Applications will be available at the open house event and are available online now at www.Layaya.org *Once spaces have been filled for each class we will place additional applicants onto a waiting list for any future openings for their skill level and department. Available spaces are filled in the order that application meetings are completed for new openings starting May 20 2017. Some departments/skill levels may be full at the time of the open house.
