The New Orleans Oyster Festival
Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, 2014
The Fifth Annual New Orleans Oyster Festival will once again celebrate that local delicacy – the oyster – that is an integral part of the unique culinary culture of Louisiana.
More than 20 restaurants (see below) will be showing off the versatility of our region’s favorite bivalve at the New Orleans Oyster Festival. Launched in 2010 by representatives of the Louisiana oyster industry, the festival celebrates local oysters along with the men and women who harvest, process and cook them. Proceeds from the Festival support the Louisiana Oyster Industry, fisherman and their families. The festival raises money each year to support coastal restoration.
