With seven bands, a crawfish eating contest, art market, aerialist, kids’ activities, Mardi Gras Indians and more, the 5th annual Pinch A Palooza Festival & Crawfish Eating Contest kicks off New Orleans festival season with a daylong crawfish celebration. The lineup includes The Revivalists, Vince Vance & The Valiants, Bucktown All-Stars, Shamarr Allen & The Underdawgs, plus Jonathon “Boogie” Long & the Blues Revolution & bluegrass duo Bill & Temperance. Reigning Pinch A Palooza Crawfish Eating champions The 610 Stompers and Big Chief Romeo Bougere & the Ninth Ward Hunters will perform.
Pinch A Palooza features a variety of crawfish dishes made famous by Deanie’s Seafood and more. Admission is free. Food and beverages are available for purchase.
Pinch A Palooza benefits two statewide nonprofits dedicated to supporting Louisiana’s unique culture and way of life, the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation and Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation.
