DATE
Sat, Apr 5, 2014
TIME
10:00am - 4:00pm

The UMOJA Committee is a 25 year old community organization dedicated to the education and cultural development of the children of Greater New Orleans. Comprised of volunteers that are retired teachers, health care providers and parents, together we host the Celebration of the African American Child which creates the "UMOJA VILLAGE" and enhances children’s self-esteem and models positive parenting skills and youthful creativity. Everything about this event happens because of donations of time, talents and funding.
We are seeking volunteers to assist to the committee with registration, set up/break down and children's activities. Lastly, we need donations and sponsorships to aid in making this event a phenomenal success for all of the children.
Join us for our UMOJA Village at the (Silver) 25th Anniversary Celebration of the African American Child! Contact UMOJA for more information @ theumojacommittee@att.net
