**EVENT POSTPONED** Xavier University will launch its Performance Studies Laboratory on November 6th, 7th, and 8th at 7:30 p.m. with “Here Is Where You Turn Back,” a staged adaptation of literary works inspired by New Orleans history and culture that traces the path of an energizing spirit through Storyville, St. Rocque Cemetery and more. The show weaves multiple narratives adapted from short stories by Louisiana natives Arna Bontemps (“Talk to the Music”) and Alice Dunbar Nelson (“The Goodness of St. Rocque”), and a portion of a novel by Ishmael Reed (Mumbo Jumbo). All performances are free and open to the public, but seats are limited. Audience members can reserve tickets via email (xuperformancestudieslaboratory@gmail.com).
