Volunteer Rebuilding Homes in New Orleans with St. Bernard Project

DATE
Mon, Sep 16, 2013
through Sat, Sep 21, 2013
DETAILS

Weekdays 8:30am-5pm

St. Bernard Project (SBP) is an award-winning rebuilding, nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure that disaster-impacted communities recover in a prompt, efficient, and predictable way. With its innovative, vertically integrated construction system, SBP is poised to serve as a model for disaster rebuilding and affordable housing.

Volunteers are needed the week of 9/16 to ensure progress can continue to be made on the homes of SBP's clients. Volunteers will work alongside the SBP team doing anything from demolition, insulation/drywall, flooring, painting, trim/baseboard, hanging doors, through final punch.

NO CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE NEEDED. SBP's Site Supervisors will teach you everything you need to know.

Volunteers will not work at SBP's office in Chalmette. Specific site locations will be known the week before the volunteer date.
