Training 1: The School of Respect
How often have you wondered why certain students act the way they do? By walking through the School of Respect, you will get a behind-the-scenes tour of the development of a child. The School of Respect has four distinct stages, according to age: Tots (birth to two), Tykes (ages three to five) Tweens (ages six to twelve), and Teens (ages thirteen to nineteen). Each stage has a different development goal, and during each stage, children have two critical “soul questions” they need answered. Find out what happens when parents don’t answer these questions for children, and how you as an educator can help to answer them in the classroom. Answering these questions is key, because children receive a vital part of the preparation they need to become respectful, responsible young adults.
