Author Charlotte Seidenberg will discuss how to create a garden to attract birds, butterflies, and other wildlife, as described in her book The Wildlife Garden. She will illustrate her talk with slides taken in several New Orleans area gardens, including her former garden in Uptown New Orleans.
A longtime gardener, amateur birder and treasured local garden writer, Seidenberg is author of The New Orleans Garden: Gardening in the Gulf South (1993) and The Wildlife Garden: Planning Backyard Habitats (1995) published by University Press of Mississippi. She is a registered nurse who works as a telephonic case manager and currently lives in Covington, Louisiana, with her husband, artist Jean Seidenberg.
