Harry Shearer, Keynote Speaker in Support of A Rising Star in Educational Excellence and Youth Empowerment to Benefit the Children of Teaching Responsible Earth Education (T.R.E.E.), Friday, April 5, 2013, 6:30pm-10:30pm at the U.N.O. Homer L. Hitt Alumni Center.

Since 1995, T.R.E.E. has been serving New Orleans area children with outdoor classroom experiences that transform conceptual understanding of science and the knowledge that what one does and thinks really matters. Programming covers 1/3 of state required science and language arts curriculum and skills. Students peer teach and work with mentors extending their learning throughout the school year and beyond.
Funds raised will go towards the children participating in T.R.E.E. programs.
