Come out and celebrate Tibetan culture!
The Celebration of Tibetan Culture Day will exhibit a few of the special Tibetan traditions so that we, the New Orleans who knows the heart behind culture, can appreciate what they have to offer.
For a little flavor of both New Orleans and Tibet, a Tibetan-themed Second Line will march with Boombador's drum line.
Throughout the afternoon, there will be prayer flag making, Tibetan monk performances, delicious momo (Tibetan dumpling!) sampling, and social work students who visited Dharamsala, India, sharing their experience of time spent with Tibetan learning partners.
There will be tables set up with information on Tibet and a table with free curry and rice for all!
So bring your appetites, your dancing shoes, and your curiosity out to celebrate!
