(September 1-October 29, with preparations in May)
APPLICATIONS DUE BY MARCH 25th at 4pm
Sweet Home New Orleans is currently accepting applications for the second course in their pilot Economic Empowerment Education Program. They are currently accepting applications from New Orleans musicians interested in conducting a fan-funding campaign in partnership with Pledge Music.
Final decisions will be based on relevant need/experience. A small group of diverse individuals/bands will be accepted for the course. The application process will consist of initial application review and second-round interviews. Demand will determine how often the courses will be offered in the future.
Interviews for those who make the second round will take place in April.
This course is designed for musicians who have a project they would like to fund in a fan-based campaign. It will give hands-on training in the art of fan funding, going into detail on evaluating margins, outreach, exclusives, and fulfillment. Please apply early under the entity for which you would like to fundraise.
The class will consist of a preparation period before summer and 6 classes in the fall.
