Started in 2006 a midst talks about weather or not to have Mardi Gras that year. Leslie Cooper decided that she and her friends would indeed have the party that they had wanted to have in October of 2005. The first Saturday after Twelfth night, King's Day, would be the date for The Queen's Balls. Little did she know that eight years later, it would be considered the first of the party's to really get the carnival "Ball" rolling.
