Join the Museum of the American Cocktail, SoBou Restaurant, and the SoFAB Institute in the first of a New Monthly Mixology Series at SoBou. SoBou’s Bar Chef and New York City transplant Abigail Gullo will lead a seminar entitled “I’ll Take Manhattan.” She will discuss the history and techniques behind this beloved cocktail, as well as demonstrate the classic version of the Manhattan along with two variations.“I’ve been dreaming about hosting a seminar like this for years,” says Bar Chef Gullo. “The Manhattan has always had a special place in my heart – in fact; it was the first drink my grandfather taught me to make. For me it combines history, both personal and otherwise, along with my favorite spirits, and the city that inspires me.” The event, which is sponsored by Wild Turkey, will be held at SoBou. For $35 (20% discount for MOTAC and SOFAB members), guests will enjoy bites from SoBou along with Manhattan cocktails and spirited conversation from the Manhattan girl herself.
