The Edith and Edgar Stern Legacy Map displays an artistically designed overview of the social, economic, and cultural contributions made by the Stern Family to the City of New Orleans. Join us as we celebrate the publication of this extraordinary map at a very special location – the International House. Now a premiere boutique hotel, the International House opened in 1943 as a building dedicated to "world peace, trade and understanding." It was here that Edgar Stern, one of the founders of the International House, received the "Mr. Citizen of 1953" award, devoted to honoring community service. To celebrate this occasion, the IH Hotel Loa Lounge Creative Director has created a special cocktail called the "Mr. Citizen," featuring fresh mint grown at Longue Vue's gardens. So raise your glass with us at the International House to toast the Sterns' rich historical legacy and Longue Vue's promising future!
