Framing the Future: Redeeming the Past

DATE
Sat, Dec 1, 2012
TIME
5:00pm - 9:00pm

5-6pm Patron Party; 6-9pm Open Door Admission
Louisiana Green Corps (LAGC) and The Stella Jones Gallery present “Framing the Future”, a PhotoNola artshow illuminating the interaction between people and the urban environment. Artists are Harold Baquet, Epaul Julien, Skip Bolen, Erin Krall, and Jamar Pierre. Works themes are urbanism, decay, restoration, conservation, and sustainability. Art frames are made by youth participants using salvaged wood. The event is an art show to promote the mission to empower vulnerable residents and a fundraiser to support youth training and education. Art, frames, and other crafts will be for sale. Proceeds from sales, silent auction, and raffle benefit youth programs. Become a special friend of LAGC and join us for the Patron Party! Patrons gain early entrance, drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and a frame made by youth participants. The Patron Party admission cost is $35, a significant financial contribution that will go directly into youth programming costs.
