The final show in Jazz in the Park's fall concert series is a benefit called Keep The Music Free. Buy tickets to support this fantastic concert series that brings music, food, and community to Armstrong Park on Thursday evenings.

Hello Friends & Neighbors,
As you may know People Unite for Armstrong Park is hosting a benefit concert and finale party for the 2012 Jazz in the Park series in armstrong park this thursday Nov. 8. Our last event of the year will feature performances by Irma Thomas, Kermit Ruffins, James Andrews, George Porter Jr, Shannon Powell, Bill Summers, Renard Poche, Michael Baptiste, MyNameIsJohnMichael and many others. The new school second line brass band will begin at 3pm and special performances by mardi gras indians, drummers and stilt walkers will punctuate the evening which ends at 8pm.

100% of ticket sales will go to paying artist fees to help keep the 2013 Jazz in the Park series free. The more funds we can raise, the more free thursdays we can host in 2013. Tickets are $20 online at http://www.armstrongpark.org/ or by phone at 233.4.ARM, or the day of the event in the park. We can deliver tickets inside of Treme also or in areas near the park. Full price ticket purchasers will have their names listed on our website as "Arch Bearers" and entitle you to a free drink at the benefit and additional free and discounted merchandise and VIP benefits in 2013.
If you can not afford a full price ticket and are a senior citizen or a student, you may request a half-price ticket by emailing or calling PUfAP during the week or from our ticket booth at the park the day of the event (please bring ID).
The park will be free and open to the public during our benefit with or without a ticket, including full access to the marketplace at armstrong park as well as prepared food and craft merchants and our kids area. The area around the stage will be reserved for ticketed "Arch Bearers." Please bring your friends and family to the event to help support us, with your continued support we are sure it will be a great evening of celebrating the music and culture of Congo Square, Treme and our wonderfully unique city.
