The Open Ears Music Series consists of weekly concerts of interesting music, often of the improvised variety.. The performances are on Tuesdays, upstairs at The Blue Nile.

The ‘Ullmann/Swell 4′ is the latest format of Gebhard Ullmann (based in Berlin) and Steve Swell (based in NYC) with bassist Hill Greene and legendary drummer Barry Altschul. This emotional and intense quartet was founded in 2004.

WWOZ is thrilled to be broadcasting one of this month's Open Ears Music Series 5th Anniversary Events. Show Host David Kunian will also be up in the Blue Nile Balcony Room, ready to set up The Ullmann/Swell 4 when they take to the stage around 10:30pm.
