The Arts Council of New Orleans presents the 5th anniversary of the Arts Market of New Orleans. This open-air festival of creativity will be held on Saturday, June 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Palmer Park (located at the corner of South Claiborne and South Carrollton Avenues). The Arts Market of New Orleans is a free event featuring live music showcasing New Orleans unique musical heritage, more than 100 local artists, food and beverage booths, and a Kids Tent with children's performance and creative crafts. This month, the Arts Market will feature musical entertainment by local gypsy jazz and hot swing band Courtyard Kings from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Courtyard Kings have a unique sound based on original arrangements of jazz standards combined with gypsy jazz, Brazilian jazz, New Orleans traditional jazz, bebop, classical music and rock'n'roll. Come out to enjoy some great local music and arts! This event is FREE and open to the public.
