Noted Author, Imran Ahmad, to Speak in Partnership with WACNO and Octavia Books

The World Affairs Council of New Orleans (WACNO) and locally owned Octavia Books are excited to invite you to a free discussion on Thursday, May 10, at 6 p.m. at Octavia Books (513 Octavia, New Orleans) with noted author, Imran Ahmad.

Ahmad’s memoir, Unimagined, about growing up Muslim in the West, has received much acclaim, including being listed as one of the best books of the year by The Independent and one the year’s best picks by The Guardian. It was released in the US as The Perfect Gentleman.

WACNO offers educational programming, such as this talk by Ahmad, to raise the community’s awareness of global issues and to further international understanding; many of these programs are free and open to the public.
