Innocence Project New Orleans 11th Anniversary Gala

Innocence Project New Orleans will host its 11th Anniversary Gala to celebrate over a decade of work to secure the freedom of factually innocent prisoners. It will celebrate Innocence Project New Orleans’ work and the courage and perseverance of their clients. It will also honor the commitment and support of all those who have joined the fight to right wrongful convictions – judges, legislators, donors, volunteers, and members of the bar and the community.

The evening will feature guest speaker Jennifer Thompson-Cannino, co-author of New York Times bestseller Picking Cotton: Our Memoir of Injustice and Redemption.
Awardees will include Louisiana State Rep. Herbert B. Dixon (Legislative Champion Award), Covington and Burling (Outstanding Volunteer Counsel award) and more.

Louisiana and Mississippi Exonerees and their family members will attend.

The Leroy Jones Quintet will play live music. Jacque-Imo’s Café will cater the event.
