Every Sunday starting July 10th, 2011 at 2 PM, the French Market will host a series of free programs that highlight the cuisine and culinary culture of New Orleans. Expect to see cooking demos, food conversations, and musical entertainment throughout the year at the French Market Fare stage in the Farmers Market, located between Ursulines and Governor Nicholls Streets.
Schedule for July 2011:
July 10: Interview with Ann Tuennerman, president of Tales of the Cocktail
July 17: John Burns of Edible New Orleans discusses the Creole Tomato
July 24: Hollygrove Market makes herb cocktails and considers the benefits of locally grown food
July 31: The N’awlins Cafe and Spice Emporium will demonstrate classic dishes from Louisiana and New Orleans.
