SNOBALL DAY at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve

Throughout 2016, the National Park Service (NPS) has been urging Americans to #FindYourPark in honor of the NPS Centennial. The NPS turns 100 on August 25, and in honor of the big day, the French Quarter Visitor Center of Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve will also be urging visitors to#FindYourSnoball. On Saturday, August 27, the visitor center will host Snoball Day, a free event 11:00 a.m.-3:00p.m. celebrating the NPS Centennial and one of New Orleans’ favorite summertime traditions-- -the cool refreshing snoball. Snoball Day fun will include:  FREE SNOBALLS while supplies last  DJ and music throughout the day  Snoball art show, with photos, paintings, and other work by community members to share their love of snoballs  Snoball story sharing project hosted by WWNO-FM’s Listening Post  Interactive exhibits: where’s your favorite snoball stand? what’s your favorite flavor?  NPS and snoball games and crafts for kids of all ages  #NPS100 birthday card to sign  #NPS100 photobooth frame for social media pictures
