Rex Gregory

WWOZ will broadcast multi-instrumentalist Rex Gregory live from the Blue Nile's Balcony Room on August 17. The band features Ashlin Parker, Austin Johnson, Peter Harris, and Simon Lott. The concert is part of the Open Ears Music Series, curated by Jeff Albert and dedicated to bringing creative music to popular venues.

While Rex is a staple in the New Orleans jazz community, playing saxophone with acts like Jesse McBride's Next Generation band, the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, and many others, he also plays keyboards and composes for the rock band Bionica.
