There are innumerable Americana songs with Chinese themes. Perhaps more about China than all the other Asian countries combined. Maybe it's because the stereotypical riff of Chinese music sounds so much like the cha cha progression.
"New Orleans by New Orleans" is a new book compiling non-fiction, fiction and original artwork by over 100 contributors from all ages and walks of life in the New Orleans community. There will be a release party for the book tonight (Tuesday, December 18) at the Jefferson Parish Public Library at 4747 W. Napolean Ave.
