Maria Neckam is a singer and songwriter from New York, who was born in Austria and has also lived in the Netherlands. When Maria moved to New York in 2005, she hit the music scene with great success. Since then she has been working as one of the most innovative musicians on the scene. Maria often tours the United States and Europe from her home base in Brooklyn.
Brilliant jazz saxophonist Wessell "Warmdaddy" Anderson will appear tonight (Thursday, November 12th at 8 and 10 p.m.) at Snug Harbor along with Victor Adkins (p), Ed Perkins (s), Troy Davis (d) and Roland Guerin (b) in what promises to be incredible shows.
Changes take place in my neighborhood in small increments these days. We wake to another house starting repairs or to another being finished --- and still a few lay dormant. Recently I have received several calls and emails concerning the song "A Closer Walk With Thee" and in particular, which version I prefer.
