'5 things to know' is a weekly feature highlighting different parts of the WWOZ world that you may have missed this week, including unique WWOZ programming and video, plus New Orleans events, artists, places, features, and more. For the week ending June 10, 2016:

1) Creole Tomato Fest is happening this Saturday and Sunday at the French Market. There will be four live music stages, with the festival’s main music stage at Crescent Park, where there will also be food trucks, and an arts and crafts bazaar. Performers include Little Freddie King, Original Pinettes Brass Band, and many more. See the full schedule here. Plus, there are lots of great tomato dishes and samples to be had, of course! Look out for our Monday New Orleans Music Show host, Murf Reeves, as he sits on the judges panel for the Bloody Mary contest.

2) The Record Raid is back at the Peoples Health New Orleans Jazz Market on Saturday, June 11. 25 vendors with thousands upon thousands of LPs, 45s, CDs, and Cassettes will be hawking their wares. There are always some rare finds here. Music geeks unite!

3) Free summer concerts! Tipitina's free Friday series kicks off tonight with Good Enough For Good Times and Stoop Kids. Doors 9p; show 10p; 21+ only. Proceeds from drink and merchandise sales go to the Tipitina’s Foundation. Want more free music? The Westbank's Wednesdays on the Point is rolling each week from 5-8p. June 15 performer will be Honey Island Swamp Band.

4) The North Mississippi Hill Country PIcnic is in two weeks. Though this is not in New Orleans, it is one of the best regional blues events today so I wanted to put it in this week to give any blues fans who need to travel a head's up reminder! Performers at this intimate festival for 2016 include Kenny Brown, the North Mississippi All-Stars, Alvin Youngblood Hart's Muscle Theory, Duwayne Burnside Band, David Kimbrough Band, Jimbo Mathus, The Rising Star Drum & Fife Band, and more. See the full lineup here.

5) The 'OZ featured video of the week comes from Erica Falls who brought her vintage soul sounds to WWOZ last November. In this song, she sings about the unsure mental footing that happens at the beginning of a relationship. Erica is one of the most goosebump-inducing performers we've had in the studio in the last few years. Check out 'It's Going To Be All Right' below.
